There’s an old story about a group of engineers unable to figure out the best way to un-wedge a truck jammed under a low bridge. A young boy on a bike suggested they just let the air out of the tires. Often the solution is to a difficult problem is overlooked due to its simplicity.
All the "talking heads" debates and numerous diaries regarding how best to resolve the Democratic nomination mess can be quickly and easily put to rest by just two individuals – the candidates themselves. No super-delegate involvement, no Howard Dean, no new primaries, and no forced ticket.
Hillary and Barack need only agree to exclude Michigan and Florida from the delegate count as originally planned, and whichever one of them at the end of the primaries has the least pledged delegates will withdraw and fully support the election of the other.
Come on you two. Show that you truly respect the "vote of the people" and put this current mess which threatens to split our beloved party and alienate a whole new generation of voters to an early end. It's the honorable thing to do.
